Good Morning, Penny Darlings.
Literally the morning. It’s about 1:30am here in Penny Darling town while Preston snoozes nearby on the couch and The Office plays in the background. It’s COLD AF on the east coast this week and ya girl wasn’t prepared!
If you haven’t checked out the under $10 section in the Gwynnie Bee outlet (it’s members only – but my link will give you a free month trial and you can become a member for free and shop the sale!) Bonus: I wrote a blog post about my picks for that sale. (was that post helpful? Lemme know!)
But we finally started putting our wedding plans into action (or at least are actively planning and trying!). Do you want wedding updates? Let me know!
And blah, blah, blah, – check me out on Instagram here! I also started a Twitter account! Find that here! Follow Preston’s brand new fashion Instagram here! I also have a selling Instagram page where I sell some of my old clothes/styles so that I don’t drown in my own wardrobe. I just listed a few new things – so check that out!
Eloquii #XOQ & My Winter Crushes
So today I wanted to show off some of my fave looks from the Eloquii winter collection (and the Katie Sturino collection, literal swoon). I love Eloquii. They are up to size 28, are super cute and trendy and look super high fashion but aren’t bank busters. I’m a huge fan.
This is perhaps a little less relevant to their clothes (which is great. all high quality, obvi), but they are the NICEST company to work with. They are so thoughtful and kind and they reached out to congratulate me on my engagement and that meant so much! And in Katie Sturino’s line they are doing a partner matching donation with the Humane Society.
So I wanted to show off a few of my fave Holiday picks for Christmas parties, trips to NYC, traveling, NYE parties, shopping trips and snuggle dates, and all the winter fun activities. And I may have found my newest fave item (THAT JUMPSUIT, THO).
Red Velvet Jumpsuit
This red velvet jumpsuit is my new fave thing in my wardrobe.
It’s cute, it’s sexy, warm (but the short sleeves and breathe-ability of it makes it not sweaty, and ya girl sweats a lot), EXTRA AF, a deep jewel tone and seriously the best thing that I’ve added to my wardrobe in a loooong time.
Shop this jumpsuit here!
I styled this look to match my perfect ‘cat suit’. I paired in with some cheetah canvas flats (from Wal-Mart), my Charming Charlie cheetah purse, and these AMAZING Kohl’s cat earmuffs. I went all cat!
I bought these cat earmuffs from Kohl’s a few years ago for, like, ten dollars. However, I wasn’t a blogger then so I didn’t snap up a spare pair or anything.
HOWEVER, fret not, my dear friends. Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s has a nearly PERFECT dupe right meow. Shop the dupe here.
You can also grab the same flats (for $5 and some change) here
BREAKING NEWS: It also comes in BLACK!
Pink & Pearl Winter Coat
This blush pink coat makes me blush. It’s gorgeous. It’s seriously one of the prettiest things I own. It’s wool like a peacoat, past knee length (I’m 5’6), and WARM. And honestly, (is this tacky?) it’s not a bank buster.
While Lauren and I were shooting this on the steps of the capital building (Preston and I live in Harrisburg, the capital of PA!) a few police officers were giving us some strange looks but were super friendly and encouraging!
And it does have buttons and close, I just wore it open – so if that’s something you need to know – it does close and button v. comfortably! And this was a huge bonus for me – the pearls are REALLY well stitched on (sometimes I feel like pearl embellished are like glued on and fall off).

I thought this coat could be styled as GLAM AF or as sweet and innocent. For my sassy and glam look, I paired it with blush cat and pearl earmuffs (seriously, the cat ears are lined with pearls), cheetah flats, and my cheetah purse. For my princess look, I paired it with a simple pearl headband and my Sleeping Beauty (from Torrid, but sold out!) clutch to add the totally royal vibe! I shot both links thinking I’d figure which one I liked better – but they both TOTALLY work!
Lauren said that this outfit was VERY Sex in the City and I don’t think I have ever felt a compliment so deeply in my soul. I lived off that compliment for a week.
Here’s some detail shots of the pearls/blush color with my style accessories! Coat link here!
PuppyPuppyPuppy!
….this title is an accurate represenatation of me seeing a dog out in the world. I have ZERO chill when it comes to dogs walking near me. I WANT TO PET YOU RIGHT MEOW!
Katie Sturino of The 12ish Style Blog did this amazing collection with Eloquii as a ‘capsule’ look – meaning that literally everything goes with everything else. Okay, maybe not exactly literally (you can’t wear pants and a skirt at the same time), but pretty darn close! It’s a very cohesive collection.
And YA GIRL WAS PUMPED. As a proud owner of more than seven dog sweaters, three dog dresses, a dog purse, and a dog (Harvey, my little doodle made a quick cameo!) in a world filled with tons of cat items made me SO excited. However, I had ZERO dog pants and now, my collection’s complete *sung to the tune of Part of Your World*
Shop these pants here and the top here!
These are pretty cute for lounging around the house or quick errands. I usually feel like I fall into the trap of dressing down that I don’t look cute anymore. This set is the perfect combo to look adorable and casual.
And bonus Happy Facts about this look, so Katie Sturino (QUEEN!) has three dogs, as featured on her shirt (and her insta a LOT), and has done a lot of charitable work with the Humane Society and Eloquii joined her with a donation pledge! Read more deets from the designer herself about that here!
Why Yes, Those ARE Sequin Pants
I like to call this one, the person who knew how to dress for a lowkey NYE party. So, it’s warm, it’s comfy, it’s cute, flashy, glittery, and flattering. Literally what else is there?
Sweater is super stretchy and has a sequin bow! And the joggers are sequin EVERYWHERE so I didn’t expect them to fit more like an athletic pair of pants. Super cute and I just got an AMAZING pink sweater from the thrift store that is going to go perfect with this.
Check out the sequin pants and the bow sweater!
This look is a little extra all put together like this (I’m pretty fashion bold!) so I styled it pretty simple with flats and a headband and my hair down and a little wild. Again, my intended aesthetic was New Year’s Eve party.
But this look could be dressed up or down just by switching and mixing and matching. Like, I’d love to wear these sequin joggers with a fitted white tee and a pink moto jacket for a touch of bad-assery or with a ruffle sleeve sweater for some girly flair.
