Happy Monday, Penny Darlings!
Let me just start with the boring stuff so we can get to the goods! Ha! Check me out on Instagram here! I also started a Twitter account! Find that here! Follow Preston’s brand new fashion Instagram here! I also have a selling Instagram page where I sell some of my old clothes/styles so that I don’t drown in my own wardrobe. I just listed a few new things – so check that out!
This weekend was so wonderful and amazing. My bridal shower was this weekend and it was so AMAZING! My bridesmaids/bffs are some of the most amazing women I’ve ever met and they threw the most amazingly perfect bridal shower. There will be pictures this week! Thank you to everyone who traveled to be there for the special day!
But, sometimes after a hectic and long weekend – it can be hard to get off the Monday struggle bus and into a great week!
So today I’ve teamed up with Day Won to show how to make your Monday a win!
Day Won is a delightful #GIRLBOSS built company that is obsessively size inclusive (XS-5x) athletic and athleisure wear. It’s all about empowering yourself to focus on your day to make you feel like your day was won! And for real, my 100% opinion….these are the BEST plus size athletic wear leggings I’ve EVER worn.

#1.) Write a ‘brain dump’ list of things to do for the week.
I often find myself forgetting things I need to do during the week until it’s too late! Just take a piece of paper and write everything you can think of as a type of ‘brain dump’. Everything from meal prep and grocery shopping to returning phone calls, car and doctor appointments, answering e-mails, work projects, social engagements, and everything in between.
It can help me utilize my time better and even helps me sort out filling out my planner. It can make getting back into the workflow seem a little less hectic.
#2.) Spend your morning getting the easy stuff out of the way
The Monday workflow is hard to get back into (particularly in the summer heat between vacations and travel and long weekends!). So, going back on Monday can feel a little overwhelming! So, take that time to answer all your e-mails, listen to all your messages, delete your junk mail, updating your calendar, and brain-dumping (see #1). It helps to feel like you accomplished a bunch of things. That always makes me feel more motivated for the rest of the day and the week!
#3.) Do some Sunday prep
I do this ALL. THE. TIME. I meal prep breakfasts for the week so even if we’re running late, there’s something to eat. I meal prep for our other meals too and I try to do some laundry, make sure I have clean underpants and a work outfit ready. When I used to leave to go to an office, I would make sure there was gas in my car and that my purse was packed! It helped me feel less overwhelmed on groggy Monday mornings.
#4.) Have a GREAT lunch.
You know what is really fabulous on a long Monday? A delicious lunch! Take your leftovers from Saturday night out, make Monday your treat yo’ self day to order in, ask a co-worker to lunch, make your favorite meal, whatever! Make sure you have something delicious to look forward to! It makes the morning seem even faster!
What are your tips for making sure your ‘Day is Won’ for the Monday blues?
