Wedding Look Part I: Details!

Happy Friday, Penny Darlings!

I am so happy to see everyone survived the holidays well, no one freaked out in the Black Friday sales, and we’re all getting ready for the holidays.

*LIVE UPDATE: PRESTON JUST WALKED BY ME AND SAID, “Time to summon spirits.” calm as day, so please send help, I think my husband is possessed*

Let me just end with the boring stuff so we can get to the goods! Ha! Check me out on Instagram here! I also started a Twitter account! Find that here! Follow Preston’s brand new fashion Instagram here! I also have a selling Instagram page where I sell some of my old clothes/styles so that I don’t drown in my own wardrobe. I just listed a few new things – so check that out!

But one of my favorite things that happened this week is: OUR WEDDING PHOTOS CAME!

And there are SOME GORGEOUS ONES. Literally gorgeous. David Gerz (check him out here!) did an EXCEPTIONAL job.

So for the first wave, I decided to do just the ‘detail’ shots! This includes the decorations, the tablescapes, the signs, art, board games, tablecloths, and more.

I have to give a HUGE shout-out to my mom. My mom worked basically non-stop for 11 straight months to make this wedding look as incredible as it does.

She bought all of these vintage tablecloths, vintage salt and pepper shakers, and vintage vases (thanks Flea Markets, Etsy, and Facebook Marketplace!). My mom and my stand-in aunts made the huge flowers for the drop behind the bar, made cookies, and collected every vintage board game they could find! My mom and dad found (and hauled) the retro couches, my dad and Preston painted the stage, and my mom went to every meeting with every caterer and planner and venue. My mom missed days of work, traveled all over creation, and coordinated everything. I used to think I was a good event planner (which is what I used to do before Penny Darling!) – but sheesh – I’m nowhere near as good.

Mom, I thanked you a million times, but let’s make it a million and one because you out-did yourself, lady.
