But let’s get onto the content of the day!
Ady Cakes in West Reading
Ady Cakes is a small (and very pink!) custom cake and cupcake shop located in West Reading in my hometown!
Ady makes everything in house, including custom macarons (18 flavors, yum), custom cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, brownies, and more! 100% true fact, I bit into one of the classic chocolate chip cookies and almost started tearing up. It was gooey and crispy and chewy and perfectly chocolate-y. Best cookie I’ve ever had, easily.
Ady is a totally energetic, smiley, bubbly, and lovely woman who always welcomes you to her shop! She also was even having a couple come in for a wedding tasting! She emits so much warmth and kindess! And her food is even freaking better!
AND ADY WON CUPCAKE WARS!
And, as I sit here, munching on an AMAZING Christmas cupcake, I’m so excited to share some of the pictures I was able to take in her adorable shop in West Reading, PA!

My first item was this AMAZING macaron tray. These are what brought me into Ady Cakes in the first place – because I am OBSESSED with macarons and these are top notch! Birthday cake, pistachio, and vanilla are my faves – but the season hot cocoa ones are PHENOMENAL! Preston’s faves were pink champagne and carrot cake!
Here’s a pic of us the first time we went to Ady Cakes (for my birthday!) and me munching on a birthday cake macaron!
Then we moved onto the cookies and brownie sections! These classics are what classics are based on! They’re so perfect! Like, if you dreamed a chocolate chip cookie – it would be these! And these brownies are the perfect chocolate munchie!
In this shot, I was going for a whole ‘hostess with the mostess’ look! So I ask the important question, “Cookies or brownies?”
This hot cocoa themed tray (mixed with amazing cupcakes, hot cocoa macarons, and covered in blue sprinkles and snowflake frosting!) is literally perfect for any holiday party you have coming up! And the sprinkles are crunchy and perfect!
This festive delight is a mix of red and green with intricately beautiful gold frosting dripping down it! Let me tell you, holding this work of art was truly one of the most terrifying moments of my life. I’m notoriously clumsy and this cake was so BEAUTIFUL.
And you think it looks good? It tastes better!

Christmas Cookies! – So yummy!
This macaron Christmas tree is all of the things. It’s a macaron CAKE in a novelty shape! I wanted to eat it IMMEDIATELY! (Ady, if this is still in your cooler, I need a bite!)
The gold dots are the perfect addition!
This was definitely one of the most fun collabs! I was obsessed with the fine details, the perfect treats, and how much fun it was just to be with Ady and her staff! It was lots of smiles and singing along to the radio!
And if you’re not in Reading, but are nearby – this place is TOTALLY worth the drive! Snack now, thank me later!
