4 Ways to Support Influencers Without Literally Any Change in Your Life.

Happy Wednesday, Darlings!

And what a happy day it is! Most of my holiday shopping is done, we’ve been cleaning and clearing and decorating, and entertaining and all of the things!

Let me just end with the boring stuff so we can get to the goods! Ha! Check me out on Instagram here! I also started a Twitter account! Find that here! Follow Preston’s brand new fashion Instagram here! I also have a selling Instagram page where I sell some of my old clothes/styles so that I don’t drown in my own wardrobe. I just listed a few new things – so check that out!

In the last few weeks I’ve run into the same questions (from friends, family, strangers, carrier pigeons, etc.) is about HOW I make money. Now I’ve shared that blog post before. Check that out here!

But not everyone can afford to support creators – I get it! I’m broke most of the time too! It’s tough to buy merch or tickets or constantly be donating to Patreon! It’s a headache!

But there’s a few easy ways that you can support your influencers/creators/YouTubers with no cost or change to you!

1. ) Watch YouTube ads!

I know this may sound stupid, but most YouTube creators get paid through GoogleAds and AdSense and the pay comes out from how many views per video and it’s only a few cents per view, but if you watch at least 30 seconds, the YouTube-r gets paid MORE from the advertiser. For an extra 15 seconds of your life, you can keep your fave creators online.

According to this article only 15% of viewers watch the whole ad! Imagine how significant of a bump it could be for your fave YouTubers if you just let it play a few more seconds!

2.) Subscribe & Follow!

Podcasts & YouTubers – SUBSCRIBE. Subscribe. Subscribe. It’s almost always free and it can be a HUGE make or break for the creator.

For example, I subscribed, rated, downloaded, and followed my fave podcast (My Favorite Murder) and Preston was just streaming the episodes on his phone. And even though we both listened, only my stats helped them!

And for example, most people remember seeing this viral video:

But the views on this video are over 9.3 MILLION but her Facebook page is only reached 1.1million followers. That’s a HUGE discrepancy! Spoiler alert: Follow her here!

3.) Use affiliate links & coupon codes

Another easy one! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve posted something with an affiliate link, I get NO revenue from it, but have 20 readers message me to tell me that they bought it because they saw it on me!

It’s tough because most people see us on social media and if use their laptop (as opposed to their phone) and forget to click my link – I see nada! And that can be tough!

But, like, if you’re gonna buy it anyway, use their link!

4.) Actually read/watch their stuff

This is SUCH a specific thing, but I posted about my two wedding dresses. One I wore to my rehearsal dinner and one I wore to the actual shindig. And I told the whole story here!

But at least four or five people (who actively talk to me about my blog and often!) came up to me AT the wedding and said, “When are you changing into your second dress?!” and that’s super fine – but that told me that they didn’t read the post.

But every click, view, read, any of that is so crucial to us growing our business, making income, and being able to keep going for ya’ll!
