Happy Wednesday, Penny Darlings!
As the little x’s on the calendar fill up more and more this week – we’re heading to the weddin’
AND IT’S GOING TO BE LIT!
My MoH is on her way from Chicago right meow, the family are flying in tomorrow, my brother is getting ready. It’s ALL coming together! I’m arranging the playlist and answering endless e-mails and texts and messages! We’re packing the stuff up to take to the venue!
It’s gonna be a DAY, ya’ll. Thank you to everyone who has helped us and guided us along the way – in particular, my mom (and dad!) – if it weren’t for that 5’2 firecracker – there would be no wedding! So thank you mom & dad!
And my bride tribe has been knocking it out of the park! So thank you thank you!
And a huge thank you to our awesome neighbors who have been a great source of laughter, company, and conversation!
Let me just squeeze in some of the boring stuff! Ha! Check me out on Instagram here! I also started a Twitter account! Find that here!
I also have a selling Instagram page where I sell some of my old clothes/styles so that I don’t drown in my own wardrobe. I just listed a few new things – so check that out!
All my affiliate codes and links to things are posted in my Spiel Section.
So I want to talk about my traditions for the wedding!
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue!
Something Old.
My ring is a vintage estate sale ring! I thought it was so perfect (yes, I helped pick it out!) and it reminded me of my mom’s. You can actually read a whole post about that here!
It’s an old ring and my soul absolutely loves it!
Something New
My shoes are new! Anyone who knows me, knows that is the strangest part of all. I usually hate shoes! But when I saw these flats, I knew they were perfect! And if they weren’t the MOST perfectly adorable looking shoes – the brand name is Penny Loves Kenny! It’s fate! I grabbed these from DSW!
Something Borrowed
My late grandmother gave me these gold bangles when I was 13 years old. She was packing up her jewelry and I had read a book in which the main character wore a set of thin bangles and it had always sounded so romantic.
She gave them to me and I wore them every single day for more than ten years. I wore them in the pool, in the shower, in every play, to every event, etc. About six months ago, I took them off for the first time, but they’ll be reappearing for the big day!
Something Blue
My never faltering love of UnderSummers is at its best! These amazing thigh-savers are so cute, comfy, and perfect to keep me dancing all night long!
These are my something blue, as a very thoughtful gift from their awesome #GIRLBOSS CEO, Carrie Rae! These are going to keep me comfy, chafe-free, and boogie-ing for the whole day!
You can read a few of my other UnderSummer posts here and here and here!
If you are in between sizes – I recommend sizing down. These are STRETCHY AF. I bought mine a size up and I think I could have been equally happy with a size smaller.
You can check out UnderSummers website here and their insta here!
