Happy Friday, Penny Darlings!
Today is another v. special episode of Penny Darling!
Preston and I are in full holiday swing, lots of gift shopping, wrapping fresher than Will Smith circa 1997, decorating, and holiday pictures!
Let me just end with the boring stuff so we can get to the goods! Ha! Check me out on Instagram here! I also started a Twitter account! Find that here! Follow Preston’s brand new fashion Instagram here! I also have a selling Instagram page where I sell some of my old clothes/styles so that I don’t drown in my own wardrobe. I just listed a few new things – so check that out!
Let’s get to the content of the day here friends!
SHOPPING SMALL FOR PETS/PET LOVERS
While I may not be a ‘small business’ exactly, I definitely am a side hustler gone full-time, #GIRLBOSS, entrepreneur. I love shopping small businesses when I can (everything from soap to candles to shopping local farm stands). It’s awesome to get a high quality product, supporting makers of all types, and be able to directly communicate about my purchases!
I posted another small business post a few weeks ago with all types of makers from small shops to confection to soaps and everything in between!
And ya’ll know I love my pooch Charlie more than anything. He’s a new addition but an important family member. Right now, he’s snuggled up in my lap after playing with the pup next store! So I’ve been shopping Etsy for homemade treats, pooch fashion, collars, and more to get Charlie looking and feeling great!
Shops:
Lick.Com
This ADORABLE shop is the most adorable place of all time. Like the ban.do for pets! Ha! It’s stocked full of adorable (and customization!) bananas, options for pet portraits, stickers, and more!
I’m also a big fan of the Paw Balm which is to help the little pooches paws when the sidewalk is FREEZING or SCALDING. And in PA we definitely get both!
Be sure to check out their Instagram here!
Lola Co. Boutique
This total #GIRLBOSS is making some serious your creatures look like a #PETBOSS in her shop Lola Co. Boutique!
I’m OBSESSED with the custom paw Christmas stockings, the adorable (and SASSY) wine glasses, and the cute tumblers! This shop has some AMAZING furch (fur merch?) but it also has sections for brides, kids, and more!
There’s also a section for first responders and my heart is so full and I started tearing up!
Check out her shop here, her Instagram here, and her Facebook here!
Pet Qwerks
This place literally sounds like it was created by dogs to be heaven.
Pet Qwerks specializies in all things from flavor infused bones (in a gazillion flavors), indestrucible chew toys, and their interactive toys (like the Babble ball or the X-Tire ball.)
If you didn’t know what an ‘interactive toy’ was, I didn’t either. The FULL story is adorable but the TL;DR is: they are balls that talk! (the full story is worth the read!)
Check out their Insta & Facebook here!
Stain Fu
Stain Fu makes the most necessary pet must-have of all time: stain remover.
Now, I love Charlie. But he’s definitely left a stain or two in the house before. Stain Fu wanted to make an effective, but safe (for pets and people!), fast, and planet friendly solution that didn’t leave a residue.
Spoiler alert: They nailed it.
Bonus: I’m sensitive to smells/perfumes so I like that this is made with no harsh chemicals or perfumes!
Double Bonus: They’re NOW ON AMAZON SO PRIME THAT ISH TODAY!
Check out their Insta here and their Facebook here and their website here!
TRIPLE BONUS: I have custom holiday promo code for 25% off Stain Fu (expires 12/31): 25PennyD
Elly May Moments
This Kansas City native is the most Instagrammably adorable person on the planet!
Ellay May Moments is a pet portrait photographer who loves incorporating color, quirkiness, and a healthy dose of critter love in with her fur subjects! She photographs ALL pets! (pooches, cats, pigs, hamsters, you name it!).
Her quote about why she does what she does made me start tearing up (don’t worry, I just love animals and people like Elly May make my heart full!)
“Each and every pet I have ever had has filled a special place in my heart, but unfortunately, our best friends can’t stay in our lives forever. This is why I have become passionate about capturing the beauty and love our pets share with us every day. I want everyone to have the pictures they deserve of their best friend; framed moments they can cherish forever.”
Check out her website here, her Facebook here, and her Insta here! (literally everyone should follow her on Insta! It’s a daily smile, guaranteed!)
Pet Food Pete’sThis is a totally unusual but totally awesome shop! This is a family owned Florida based shop! They say that they’re sort of like a pet department store! They are a warehouse style store with everything for pets including food, toys, small fish, treats, collars, leashes, cat adoption, and more!
But it’s not just dogs! It’s dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits and more! (and right at this moment all I want is a bunny in a little hat!).
And the best part is they have a super knowledgeable staff who can give you great recommendations and they love recommending people to local rescues for adoption!
Check out their website here, their Instagram page, and their Facebook!
Pawroma Therapy
Pawroma Therapy is a perfect pun-derful shop started by a holistic Veterinarian, Dr. Deneen, who practices acupuncture, chiropractic, herbal medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, diet and nutrition!
She often found that she couldn’t find commercial products for her patients, so she flipped the big switch in the lightening storm and started inventing! These products range from herbal flea powder, all natural pet dental care spray, and aloe based healing gel for cats!
Check out Pawroma Therapy on Etsy here, on Facebook here, their website here, and Instagram here!
The Dapper Dog Box
This adorable monthly subscription is the Preston of pet gifts! (get it, Dapper? Anyone? Bueller?).
These subscription boxes are for the stylin’ pooch in your life! With everything from bowties, leashes, bandanna, toys, treats, and more!
And for that dog-obsessed person in your life, you can gift a month with tons of adorable gifts! There’s gingerbread treats, Christmas candy chew toys, and more!
Bonus: they also donate a portion of their sales to a dog rescue or shelter in the US!
Check out their website, their Insta, their Facebook! Gift a month here!
The Dog Cabin in Lake George
Ya’ll know how much Preston and I love repping our main town of LGNY! Lake George New York is one of my favorite places of all time. Here’s a cute pic of me and Preston is some adorable matching Lake George outfits!
So when we found out there was a place to find Lake George merch for DOGS….I literally ordered a dog sweatshirt with LG logo two days after we adopted Charlie. I. Have. No. Chill.
They are an adorable shop (and a guide for lakeside pooches!) and a dog barkery! It’s a tail of two poochies! Ha!
Check out their website and their Facebook page here!
